New Faculty Workshops
Early investments in faculty connections with EM will have a large impact on EM expansion for a long period of time. We embed EM into our new faculty development program. We assist faculty teaching 200-300 level and Capstone courses as they refine their teaching practice with EM principles.
As a part of our institutionalization of EM, we believe that early investments in faculty connections with EM will have one of, if not the largest impact on the expansion of EM for the longest period of time. We will start by embedding EM into our new faculty development program, implementing the Just in Time Faculty Development (JTFD) model developed through NSF and adapted for EM. Beyond new faculty, the JTFD program will also assist current faculty as they refine their teaching practice with EM principles, specifically Capstone faculty.
A cohort of seven mentors representing each Fulton School of Engineering, the Master Mentors utilize EM to understand faculty stakeholders, identify other faculty, and build the next level of leadership.
