DevHacks 2025 Ignites Innovation at Arizona State University

DevHacks 2025 Kickoff Ceremony

DevHacks 2025, the premier hackathon organized by DevLabs at Arizona State University, brought together over 200 innovative minds for a high-energy, 24-hour product-building sprint on March 29–30.

The event was more than a competition—it was a launchpad for the next generation of developers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. With over 50 groundbreaking projects submitted and $2,000 in prizes awarded, DevHacks 2025 showcased the ingenuity and passion of ASU’s student innovators. Fueled by creativity, collaboration, and an estimated 92,800 mg of caffeine, the energy remained high throughout the event.

“DevHacks brought the heat early this year,” said Bhoomi Sahajsinghani, VP of Operations at DevLabs.

The hackathon received significant support from Arizona State University and the Arizona Startup Community. Startup founders, CEOs, and industry leaders were present in person to mentor and cheer on participants. Among the notable backers was Mat Sherman and the team at Product Hunt, reinforcing the event’s mission to empower student-led innovation.

“DevHacks was our mic drop moment,” said Soham Daga, VP of DevLabs, reflecting on the enthusiasm and impact of the weekend.

Attendees participated in live mentorship sessions, startup-led workshops, and spontaneous brainstorming with real-world founders. The environment treated students not just as learners, but as builders, offering real-world exposure to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

“We’ve had our moment, and this was it,” said Dhanush Vardhan, President of DevLabs. “We are grateful for our VIP guests and sponsors for their support.”

In addition to exclusive DevHacks t-shirts, hacker IDs, stickers, and swag, participants walked away with meaningful connections, mentorship opportunities, and a glimpse into the startup world.

DevHacks 2025 was more than a hackathon—it was a movement. As ASU continues to champion innovation and entrepreneurship, this year’s event set the stage for even bigger opportunities ahead.
