The entrepreneurial mindset involves more than just the desire to own a company. This mindset is adapted by individuals who strive to make the world a better place. Entrepreneurs see problems as opportunities for future solutions, rather than setbacks.
Barrett, The Honors College student, Haley Singer, is getting a Bachelor of Science in Business Entrepreneurship, as well as a certificate in Applied Business Data Analytics. Haley is currently pursuing a venture that began as a pitch in Professor Brent Sebold’s Entrepreneurship and Value Creation, ENT 360 course.
After learning about contaminants such as Per-and-polyfluoroalkyl substances, Lead, Chlorine, Fluoride and bacteria filling areas of America’s water system, Haley saw this crisis as an opportunity to make a difference. Her product, The Mind Bottle combines an Activated Carbon Block with an Ultraviolet Light to first work at removing contaminants such as PFAS, lead, chlorine and fluoride. It then fights off bacteria like Salmonella, Shigella, E. Coli, Cholera and more. Additionally, the Mind Bottle’s stainless-steel feature offers its sippers a sustainable way of drinking clean water.
Haley looks forward to furthering the development of this project in August of 2024 for her Barrett Honors Capstone. In the meantime, she will be interning for AZ Water Solutions, where she looks forward to getting first-hand knowledge and experience regarding Arizona’s water supply. Haley is excited to gain insight into how the company goes about solving the water crisis.
Haley recently launched a crowdfunding campaign, where she aims at funding the development of Mind Bottle. Take a deeper look into Mind Bottle’s mission, development, and proposal by tapping the links to her pitch deck, video pitch and crowdfunding campaign below.
